If you only a few slate repairs the contractor will usually just use a set of roof ladders but sometimes this always the case sometimes for small repair jobs a access platform will need to be setup. For complete new roof installation you will have a scaffold setup for both access and safety. ( please note stay away from companies that will carry out a reroof with no scaffold they maybe cowboys and also have complete disregard for both there employees safety and also yours, scaffold isnt just for for a safe access platform it also to reduse the chances of debris falling from a height.)
