Benefits of a fibreglass roof

Fibreglass (GRP) is the ultimate choice for flat roofing.

When it comes to flat roofing solutions, there are many options available. However, based on our experience, fibreglass stands out as the best choice for customers.

Waterproof and weather resistant

Fibreglass is extensively utilized in the marine sector for constructing boat hulls, showcasing its exceptional waterproofing properties. This material offers a flawless and uniform solution, eradicating the possibility of vulnerabilities, seepages, and fractures that alternative products might exhibit.

Additionally, it demonstrates remarkable resilience against various weather conditions such as intense sunlight, torrential rain, storms, and even snow. Fibreglass can endure these elements for numerous years without notable degradation.

Versatile solution

If you are faced with the challenge of covering a complex area, such as a roof with an unusual shape, a roof valley, or the requirement to install window lights, fibreglass is the ideal choice.

Its exceptional versatility allows it to be shaped and molded to fit virtually any shape or design. This quality makes it the perfect solution for incorporating distinctive features like seating areas, roof gardens, or even sculptures.

Cost effective and long lasting

GRP / Fibreglass offers not just affordability, but also boasts a much longer lifespan compared to lower-cost options. In reality, it can exceed their longevity by threefold or more.

This is why we confidently offer our customers a 15-year warranty, ensuring that they are making a wise investment in a resilient and cost-effective choice.

Strong enough to be walked upon

Fibreglass is known for its strength, making it an excellent option for roof decks and other high-traffic areas. In addition to its appealing look, it can be improved with grit to prevent slipping.

Moreover, it provides a solid base for the easy installation of roof tiles or wooden decking.

Very low maintenance

Fibreglass is an exceptionally low-maintenance choice that necessitates no particular care or reapplication.

Should you desire to rejuvenate it, just softly scrub it with a brush and a soapy solution to eliminate any superficial grime and restore its immaculate look.

How we install fibreglass roofs

  4. Prepare the substrate for the installation of the fibreglass roof system by installing  fibreglass trims, cutting fibreglass matting to size and then clean roof
  5. Then we mix resin with catalyst and apply to matting remember to use the bubble buster to remove air gaps to get a true adhesion to the osb.
  6. Once the resin is dried we then sand down any areas that need to be and apply the UV resistant top coat.
